Three lines. Seventeen syllables. Infinite mischief. Gato-ku celebrates the art of haiku in English, Spanish, and Spanglish — verses about pets, people, and the small moments that make life joyful.

Gato-ku

Because mischief deserves poetry

Gato-ku began with the spirit of haiku—three lines, seventeen syllables, distilled into poetry as delicate as a pawprint in fresh snow. Here, we keep that tradition alive… with a twist.

Gato-ku celebrates the art of haiku in all its forms—English, Spanish, and Spanglish. We welcome verses about cats, dogs, friendship, the humans they herd, and the nature they encounter—written with humor, heart, or a dash of sass.

These poems remind us that life’s small moments—like midnight zoomies—deserve their literature.

Three lines. Seventeen syllables. Infinite mischief.
